Privacy Policy

Forge Ascend ("Forge Ascend", "we", "us") is a training platform for athletes operated by Ismael Caria. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Forge Ascend mobile and web applications (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information

• Name and email address (required to create an account).
• Password — stored only as a cryptographic hash. We never store or see your plain-text password.

Profile information (optional, provided by you)

• Profile photo, bio, sex, birthday.
• Athletic details: sport, level, position, height, weight, years of training, weekly training days.
• Profile privacy setting (public or private).

Training content

• Workouts you log: exercises, sets, weights, reps, duration, volume, personal records, streaks, and performance metrics.
• Custom exercises you create, including photos or videos you attach.
• Recovery sessions and assessment results.

Social content

• Posts (your completed workouts), captions, and photos or videos you attach to them.
• Comments, likes, and saved posts.
• Your social graph: who you follow, your followers, follow requests, favorites, blocks, and reports you submit.
• Activity notifications generated by these interactions.

Technical information

• Standard server logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) kept for security and reliability.

2. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal information. To anyone. Ever.
• We do not show ads.
• We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the Service: your training log, programs, and progress.
• To power social features: showing your posts to your followers, delivering notifications, and building your feed.
• To keep the Service safe: moderation of reported content, blocking.
• To communicate with you about your account when necessary.

4. Who can see your content

Forge Ascend is a social training platform, and visibility follows your settings:

• Public profile (default): your name, photo, bio, aggregate stats, and workout posts are visible to other users of the Service.
• Private profile: your identity and aggregate stats remain visible, but your workout content is visible only to followers you approve.
• Always private to you: your saved posts, who you have blocked, and reports you submit.

5. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on infrastructure located in the United States, operated by our service providers:

• Railway — application servers and database (account, profile, training, and social data).
• Cloudflare R2 — photos and videos you upload (profile pictures, post media, exercise media).
• Vercel — web application hosting.

These providers process data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.

6. Your rights and controls

• Access and export: you can export a copy of your data at any time from Settings → Export Data in the app.
• Deletion: you can permanently delete your account and all associated content (profile, workouts, posts, media, comments, likes, social connections, and notifications) from Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
• Correction: you can edit your profile information at any time in the app.
• Privacy: you can switch your profile to private at any time, and block or report users and content.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA under GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have additional legal rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. 7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our production systems immediately. Residual copies in backups or server logs are purged in the normal course of their rotation.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
